Marthe Labes

I was born in Frankfurt/Oder in 1987 and studied stage and costume design in Hanover and Berlin. I assisted at Theater Bremed for two seasons and designed costumes, stage and/or videos for various projects, e.g. ‘Die Sprache des Wassers’, ‘Verlorene Jugend’ and ‘FINSTA’.

In Bremen, I also organised and directed the theatre festival ‘NEW GREEK WAVE’ with artists from Greece.

I then continued my training in the fields of cultural education and history education.

In addition to my artistic work, I work for ASSITEJ – the Association of Performing Arts for Young Audiences – in the NEUSTART KULTUR programme.
