Accessibility & inclusive offers
We want to make our theatre performances accessible
to all children, young people and adults.
Therefore, when you book your tickets or register, please let us know how we can make your visit to the theatre as accessible as possible.
Holders of a severely disabled pass (B) pay a reduced admission price, accompanying persons receive a free ticket.

Information for wheelchair users
There are wheelchair spaces available in all JES venues.
The box office and foyer are accessible via a barrier-free entrance. All venues and workshop rooms (theatre hall, upper foyer, rehearsal stage, studios) can be reached by lift. We will take care of easy access to your seat – please just ask us on site.
There is also a barrier-free toilet in front of the JES studios (staircase C, 1st floor) which can be reached via lift.
Disabled parking spaces
The nearest disabled parking spaces are located in Eberhardstraße, Breite Straße and Christophstraße.
Information for blind and visually impaired people
In an audio description, set, costumes and plot are described for blind and visually impaired guests. The descriptions are given live during the performance via transmitters with corresponding headphones.
For blind and visually impaired guests, we regularly offer performances with tactile guidance and audio description for selected plays. Dates can be found in the calendar.
The tactile guidance tour takes place one hour before the performance begins. Here you can touch and get a feel for parts of the stage set, props and costumes. There is a tactile model in which the stage set is modelled. In some performances, the actors introduce themselves and describe themselves. Furthermore, a person will describe important, visible processes of the play to you.
You can register for an audio description when you book your ticket.
Registration is absolutely necessary for the audio tour. Write us an email: ticket@jes-stuttgart.de.
There is free seating in all JES performances. If required, we will reserve a seat in the front row for you. We’re happy to pick you up at the nearest bus or train stop. Please register in advance: ticket@jes-stuttgart.de.
If you would like to attend any other play without audio description, please contact us and we will organise a tactile tour for you.
Your service dog is welcome.

Information for deaf and hard of hearing people
We regularly offer performances with German Sign Language (DGS) on stage. You can recognise performances with DGS on our website and on our monthly pass by a symbol with two hands. Sometimes we also write “with German Sign Language on stage”.
We always have tickets for deaf people. Even if the performance says “sold out”, you can write us: ticket@jes-stuttgart.de
There is a newsletter that you can subscribe to by contacting Marie (marie.herholz@jes-stuttgart.de). It’s called “JES and inclusion”. In it you will find the next dates with DGS.
Some of our employees have basic knowledge of DGS. If you are visiting us at JES, you will recognise these people by a tag. Pen and paper is also always available for writing.
There is free seating in all performances. If it helps you to have a specific seat, please let us know. We can reserve a seat for you where you can see the DGS interpreter particularly well. We can also save you a seat for other reasons.
Please let us know if early entrance would help you. This means that we will let you into the auditorium before everyone else.
Would you like to see a specific performance with DGS? Write us an email: ticket@jes-stuttgart.de
DGS is used in different ways in our plays. To find out more about how DGS is used in the plays, click on the link to the play. Then click on “information on accessibility”.
